Welcome to Glass and Quill- my attempt to “capture life” through photography, blogging, and vlogging. This is a project/hobby site that I originally set up as a replacement to LiveJournal (remember LJ?) back in 2012. I briefly used it as an online journal/blog, but between my obsession with paper journals and an increasingly busy life, I never got too far with it. Here I am years later realizing that creative outlets and daily reflection are a huge part of my happiness and self-growth. Also, I really enjoy hearing myself talk. So, I have decided to take another crack at online chronicling. Here we go. Enjoy :)

About the Author: Born and raised in RVA! Academically, I have always taken a liking to history, literature, and the arts. I studied English at Virginia Commonwealth University and received my degree in English/Education.

I have fallen in love with photography. I still consider myself an intermediate photographer, but I enjoy the process of learning, and I appreciate the challenge of having to push myself to the next level. I hope to continue to grow as a photographer. From behind the glass, I really enjoy landscape photography and portrait photography. I offer sessions in the Richmond area for portraits and events -(www.stephanieprokopis.photography)

In my free time, I play video games, practice kendo, read, and hang out with my two amazing dogs! I am full of wanderlust, curiosity, and burritos. I’m quirky and a bit of a tomboy. I love animals, the smell of coffee, petrichor, and the caress of a nice summer breeze. Carpe diem, my friends.

Photography is Meditation. I know this is cheesy, but that is how I roll, so might as well go full cheese.
